Organic Black Teas
Black tea is revered as the beverage of choice in many parts of the world. Classic and enduring, rich in colour with a more penetrating flavour. Usually has a higher concentration of caffeine when compared to other teas. Black tea has its origins in the same plant which produces both green and white teas, the Camellia sinensis. The mark of distinction is found in the deep dark colour which is achieved through the fermentation process. If you prefer for your tea to have a milder flavour a dash of honey, milk, almond or soy milk will create a delightful sipping experience as in awwwwww, this is a very good cup of tea! We package our organic teas, herbs and spices in compostable wood cello or fully compostable kraft bags, vegetable poly lined.

A succulent tea especially palatable for those who do not enjoy the sharpness typical of green teas. Oolong is unique because of the process of partial fermentation which produces a diverse arrangement of both off-green and black leaves. This tea is beautiful, tasty, full bodied, healthy and has a mildly smooth aftertaste. Bulky inexpensive tea, only 1 tsp per cup to brew.

In honour of the Canadian Voyageurs of the 1800's which drank copious amounts of black teas on a daily basis, we have created a very hearty brew for your enjoyment. It is a blend of teas from the Assam Tea Region of India as well as Ceylon tea, both popular varieties of the time, with a dash of true sweet cinnamon for a well rounded delightful cup.
